About WordsFlare

WordsFlare is a local-first typing platform built around a simple idea: practice should feel clear enough to return to.

One practical learning loop

Take a typing test, follow guided lessons, assess keyboard skills, practise accuracy and speed, type code-shaped text, play focused games, and review local statistics. The central typing text stays visually dominant while feedback helps you choose what to practise next.

Local-first by design

No account is required. There is no public leaderboard, multiplayer mode, advertising, third-party analytics script, or remote keystroke logging. Results, progress, assessment summaries, and preferences live in browser storage and can be exported or deleted.

Designed for a broad range of typists

WordsFlare supports beginners, students, office workers, developers, casual game players, physical keyboards, and mobile input. The interface aims for WCAG 2.2 AA-level behaviour and respects reduced motion and system color preferences.
